FEARFear is an all too common emotion in today’s world. To be in fear means to be afraid or worried about something or someone. Mary Lamia states that “the emotion of fear is felt as a sense of dread, alerting you to the possibility that your physical self might be harmed, which in turn motivates you to protect yourself” (Lamia, Mary. The Complexity of Fear). With fear most experiences tend be reactions to certain situations. Usually when faced with fear “flight or fight” takes action and it’s interesting because many people will have various actions to certain situations. Fear does have some benefits with it though as it heavily impacts risk-taking. Since it factors in on the risks that people take it in a way, can actually protect you.
