EmotionsIntroduction Emotions say so much about how a person feels whether they are mad, happy, or even scared. Reading into emotions also comes naturally for us. Understanding where they come from and how it happens is something we will talk about throughout this project. Paul Ekman is an American psychologist who is a pioneer in the study of emotions and their relation to facial expressions. According to Paul there is 7 basic emotions with facial expressions of anger, sadness, joy, surprise, fear, disgust, and contempt. In this video it explains about the emotions clearly and makes more sense than any book could. When it comes to people, something we all share in common is emotion. There are so many emotions that humans experience on a daily basis. Everyone reacts differently when it comes to expressing these emotions. Some of the universal emotions are joy, sadness, fear, surprise, disgust, and anger. Although there are many more than that our focus is on the universal emotions as well as the role the brain and body plays in regards to emotions. |
